After more than 100 successful concerts all over Europe and so many requests from innumerable fans, the time has finally come: The four musicians from Quadro Nuevo present their first DVD “LIVE“.
With great sophistication and sensitivity, BRalpha filmed an acclaimed evening at the 35th Burghausen International Jazz Week. All fans of breathtaking global music can now also relive the unique fascination of a Quadro Nuevo performance in their own living rooms. Thanks to Dolby Digital 5.1, you can feel yourself transformed into the centre of the concert hall, sit back spellbound by the sounds of the instruments – sometimes exciting and refined, sometimes soothing and melancholy – and enjoy a thoroughly entertaining concert evening lasting over 109 minutes.
As if that were not enough. In a 50-minute film from and with the virtuoso quartet, Quadro Nuevo invites the audience on a wonderful “Journey to Italy“: Surreal pictures and stories from the southern Mediterranean tell of the passionate street musicians. With background information on their songs and instruments, interviews, humorous and reflective themes, the band allows a deep insight into the complex life and spiritual world of four travelling artists.
The five languages menu (German, English, French, Italian, Spanish) and sub-titles mean that not only the fans in the German speaking countries are in for a treat.
Additional bonus material – a TV documentary on Quadro Nuevo and the video for the current CD “Mocca Flor“ – rounds off the DVD as a body of work lasting almost three hours and offering finest music pleasure and top entertainment.
